number of Internet enabled mobile phones is growing rapidly. The majority
of mobile operators deploy Internet phone programs and an increasing number
of their subscribers use them. CDCOIN’s m-Direct solution is the
world’s first mobile "Pay Anywhere" solution, enabling payment to be executed

relationships between the mobile carrier and the individual merchant.
The m-Direct platform can help you provide an innovative and convenient
service by enabling your mobile subscribers to conduct one-click payments
without the use of a credit card or having to submit any other personal
payment details, by directly charging their monthly bills or a third party

solution for online purchases, regardless of whether users access the
Internet with an Internet enabled mobile phone or desktop dial-up service,

clearing mechanisms and settlement relationships, which are already in
place, while integrating seamlessly to the Carriers’ existing IT infrastructure
with minimal impact.

The Transaction Model

CDCOIN
m-Direct
technology is based upon a unique patented triangular transaction model.
This structure enables the consumer to shop at any merchant website
and, at the point of purchase, instruct his/her carrier to complete
the transaction on his/her behalf and, subsequently, debit his/her phone
bill. The consumer does not use a credit card, nor are any of his personal
payment details forwarded to the merchant through the web -thus, protecting
the customer from unauthorized viewing or fraudulent exploitation.
In a typical m-Commerce transaction, the purchaser has to pre-register
with every merchant and submit his/her personal and payment details.
Some mobile carriers offer direct payment services at web stores that
are a part of their portal or with those which have a direct clearing
relationship and agreements with the carrier.
In a typical CDCOIN m-Direct transaction the purchaser selects
the goods for purchase at a merchant site via an Internet enabled mobile
phone. At the point-of-payment, the purchaser is redirected to the m-Direct
server. The carrier approves the available balance, debits the purchaser’s
account and completes the payment process on the client’s behalf, using
an existing payment method ??? that does not necessitate pre-registration??????***.
The carrier is able to use all existing or future types of payment methods,
thus allowing payments to be conducted to any merchant without the need
for any form of prior settlement agreement with the merchant.
This model provides the ability to "pay anywhere" at any website, without
pre-registration and significantly enhances transaction security and
privacy.
The e-merchant accepts the Carriers’ standard payment method, without
being able to view or store the customers’ personal payment details.
The Carrier debits the consumers’ e-commerce purchases directly to their
personal phone bill.
